In August, Blessed Sacrament Church froms a mission church in East Hollywood.
On December 25, the first pastor, Rev. Stephen F Cain celebrates the first mass.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Church is formally established as a parish and is dedicated in honor of the Blessed Mother

Our parochial school was established and is staffed by the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Rev. James A. Martin becomes the second pastor.

Msgr. John O' Donnell becomes the third pastor.

Construction start on the present day 700-seat gothic-style church at a cost of $75,000.

Archbishop John J. Cantwell solemnly dedicates the church.

The Church's twin spires are added through the generosity of Louis B. Mayer of MGM Studios.

The Religious Sisters of Charity are invited by Msgr. O'Donnell to minister to the school.
Msgr. George Cranham becomes the fourth pastor and renovates the sanctuary according to liturgical principles of Vatican Council II.

Rev. Charles W. Harman becomes the fifth pastor. The demographic composition of the parish begins changing to become a multi-ethnic community.

Rev. Carl F. Bell becomes the sixth pastor and continues the parish's outreach to new immigrants by having Spanish and Tagalog Masses.
